I got Featured on Dad’s in the Limelight

That’s right.  I got interviewed by Chris Lewis at Dad of Divas.  Every week, or something on that order, Chris has been interviewing a dad who has some influence in the community in which he operates.  I am one of many quality dad bloggers, and I’m honored to be given the chance to appear on his Dads in the Limelight series as a representative of the online dad community.  My interview is lucky number 50 (not lucky?  Well, it’s still a nice number) and Here It Is:

Bonus Information for the Day that’s Completely Unrelated to the Above Information but that I Couldn’t Help Saying:

A recent study in Psychological Science has revealed that fast food signs cause people to want everything faster than they would otherwise.  People who looked at, and considered, the logos of fast food restaurants were more likely to accept a hypothetically smaller but immediate cash payout than be willing to wait a week for more money.  This was compared to study participants who had recently examined the logos of expensive sit down restaurants.  Even more interestingly, the fast food test subjects were also more likely to read a paragraph faster than the sit-down restaurant participants even though they were not given a time limit.  The conclusion is that even thinking about fast food makes us impatient.  Skip the fast food and relieve, at least in part, your sense of impatience.

It’s true that we’ve been spoiled. I ate at slow-moving Italian Restaurant recently with a huge group of my wife’s family, and I was so frustrated because of how long it took for the food to come. I ate two chairs and half a centerpiece, washed down by three glasses of Dr. Pepper, before the food finally came.

Congratulations! And 50 is a great #! And not related- yup I think In-and Out’s sign is a huge obvious culprit of creating an impatient society too… I get all freaked out when the line is backed out onto the street, “Wait how can we get in and out fast with all these dang people?!?!?!?” I go elsewhere….
