Help Me with my Logo!

Pirate's Booty Popcorn

    I drew mine out the old fashioned way, scanned it in, and adjusted the pixel size to fit what I needed (banner vs. button). Very low on the technical scale, but efficient.

    There was some study done and the two most recognizable symbols in the world were the cross and the Superman logo. No kidding.

    Not making any promises, but my wife doest this for a living. I’ll have her take a look if you’d like?

    Angie, the bubbles are pretty cute :-) What are you going to do for your other blog?

    Ron, I totally believe that study! While I was writing this I was trying to think of what I think is the most recognizable symbol, and Superman was number one on my list. I didn’t even think of the cross :-/ I must be a total heathen. I love the concept you’ve got with the Lunch Box. I navigate to your page by typing in the URL directly. So easy to remember.

    Since you are already going the heathen route, I envision a cartoonish style header of you as a Moses type robed and sandeled character standing on a boulder with the kids wreaking some type of havoc in the backround. that’s just my 2 cents.

      WeaselMomma, I love the image of me in a Moses robe with sandals! HAHAHAHA. Reminds me of the family vacation movie poster. Very nice. Thanks for the suggestion :-)

    Hmmm…I say go simple. Maybe just a sleek looking “A” with rays of light coming from behind Or you could do a simple cartoon of a character carrying a house on his back…the house reads Almighty Dad.

      John and Steve. I like that “A” Idea. I think I’ll do a few doodles and see what happens :-) Thanks so much for the input. All you folks seem to have about 50x more creativity than me.

    No clue on the other blog….I’m too cheap to pay for someone to think for me! It really hadn’t been an issue, but now that it’s gaining traffic. I need to get on the ball. Thanks for pointing that out!

    I’m liking the “Vacation” type image, but I think it should be a “K”. Because I don’t know if you knew this but I’m super “A”. :)

    X as in X-files, Mr X and X marks the spot. Also it could serve as your heathen cross :-)

    But your tipped halo is so good… any way to use that, in conjunction with… hmmm… maybe a Rosy the Riveter looking arm with bulging muscle? (Not a frightening arm, just a strong arm (ho ho), but incorporating the halo. “Almighty” indeed…)

    The tipped halo was a pretty awesome addition, I agree. I’d like to incorporate that somehow. The great thing is that it was so easy. Rosy the Riveter — that’s a classic. Thanks!

    Keith,
    I have been following your website for a while and I love it. Great work.
    I have a suggestion but it is a little bit complicated. This is what I have in mind (please put your 3D glasses now):
    ** you would be at the bottom of the picture, one knee to the ground holding the world (imagine Atlas in Fifth Ave in New York);
    ** in the center a big sphere that represents the world;
    ** your two kids sitting on top of the world each looking in different directions with expressions of awe, one looking up to the stars and the other looking down exploring the surface of the earth.
    I will try to sketch it out and send it to you early next week for my chance to win the tasty reward….
    Thanks.

      Carlos. Wow! I’m so impressed that people are coming up with such cool Ideas. The stuff I was thinking was totally lame in comparison :-) I like the almighty/dad image there. See I could think of a bunch of ways to incorporate the dad angle, but I was drawing a blank on the almighty. Thanks!
