This is my homeschooling schedule written out. You’ll notice that it isn’t difficult or at all complicated. Basically anybody can do it.

If only public school teachers were as organized and had teachers as good as this.
Keith .. this is really awesome. I was wondering how you choose their spelling words? There is a really wonderful and self contained curriculum called Spelling Power. It is good for 1st to 12th grade and emphasizes the correct spelling of the 5500 most frequently misspelled words in the English language. It is arranged by ability as well as phonetically. You can find it on Amazon. Also I wondered if you read history related books during your reading? We watch documentaries and read about history as well. Of course, you can also get some great history at museums. Are there really enough museums around there to visit a different one weekly or do you visit some of the favorites more than once? What can I say? I am impressed. Your kids will turn out well educated and well rounded independent thinkers.
Thanks for the comment, Joan. We visit the same museums repeatedly. Denver is rich in museums though so there is no shortage. I really appreciate your advice on the word book. I’m looking it up right after I reply
As it is i’ve been doing categories. Right now Neil is learning to spell the states and Alan is learning colors. But, I have to admit that your book there seems like the best approach — so thanks! I don’t read any specific history books. I let them choose what they’d like to learn and I go to the library and get books on that subject. Thanks for the comment, Joan. Hope to see you back.
