Thanks Fred: I did the same thing with my boys. We focused almost entirely on reading and I completely flaked out on Math. But, since we all started together it’s been fun for everybody. I really can’t give enough thanks to dadsworksheets on the matter. I wouldn’t be lost without him, but he really provided an excellent service.

Mom: It’s unfortunate that there are so many people who rely on machines for such a crucial life skill. But, I also like to think that necessity is the mother of invention. Our ability to calculate has suffered thanks to technology, but perhaps our brains aren’t so far gone that we can’t learn again.

Math is an excellent way to hone the mind but I worry in these days of calculators and cash registers just how capable most people are when these tools are taken away. I’ve witnessed pitiful results.
