Interesting article. As for passing along our fears to our kids, I'd like to think that if we're aware of our words and actions, we won't pass them along, or at least, not as strongly as we would if we didn't make a concerted effort. I don't know any parent who isn't afraid of #3, above, somewhere in the back of their mind.
